a pink glittery mess of fun

While diligently taking inventory of my ever dwindling lush stash I came across a gem I had forgotten about (that is why project 10 lush is fun - finding products you forgot about!). I spotted this glittery piece of pink love and decided to try it out. It's called Flosty Gritter and it is a bubble bar, so its like a solid bubble bath bar... thing.

My first impression of this was "prettttyyyyy" but as soon as I picked it up I wondered if it would create a huge mess. Glitter immediately got all over my fingers and ended up on my jeans, so I think a normal person would have thought it was too messy and put it back. Not me though, I bought one right away.

I must admit, this makes quite a mess when it is dry. I was a bit skeptical of it, as pretty as it is, and was scared to use it at first. I ran my water, broke this in half, and started to crumble it up. My water instantly turned a pretty baby pink, and the glitter pretty much disappeared. It did NOT get all over my skin and create chaos as I halfway expected. It had a light scent of cotton candy but was not overpowering at all. Here is the online blurb:
"If you're in the mood for something sweet and comforting, crumble this luxurious bar under your tap and revel in dazzling swirls of pink sparkles and fluffy white bubbles. The fragrance is delectably soft vanilla with lavender, similar to our American Cream conditioner and solid perfume. Whether you're planning a night in with chick flicks and manicures or a girls' night out on the town, start with a Flosty Gritter bubble bath.".

Bottom line - I love the scent, I love the color, and I love the glitter. It screams Elle in my opinion, and for that reason alone I will probably repurchase this in the near future :) If the dry glitter is going to bother you I would stay away from it, and don't expect it to be the most soothing of lush products, it's more of a fun lets-soak-in-a-pink-glittery-mess type bath product.

That brings me up to number 6 on project 10 lush! I have a few more that are nearing completion, and I can assure you that you will see a Lush haul as soon as the project is finished. There are a few Lush hair products I have been eyeing, including the Marilyn hair mask for blonde hair and the Jasmine and Henna Fluff Faze which is a deeply conditioning jasmine scented hair luxury. Has anyone tried either of these? Any good?

xoxo

The Marilyn hair mask is amazing! If it's the same as the one you get in London!

Thanks you so much for posting this! I tried the "street party" party bath bomb they had for a while - and of course I used the whole thing at once, and came out looking like a mermaid so now I'm steering away from sparkly products. I'm definitely going to try this one now!

I absolutely LOVE the Jasmine and Henna hair mask! It is quite possibly the best smelling thing ever, and the smell lingers in your hair for 2-3 days after you use it! I wish they had more products that smell like this!

Honestly, I found the Marilyn hair mask to be a bit of a waste of money! ): I left it on for a long time too - one or twice for over and hour, just to make sure I was leaving it long enough to deep condition. However, my hair definately didn't feel any softer and didn't look any blonder - even after a whole tub. On the other hand I did get one comment about my hair being blonder, but that could've also been down to my use of "The Blonde" solid shampoo (:

In short: not worth it for me (I have dry, frizzy, kinky hair)

Love Flosty Gritter!! The Jasmine and Henna hair mask is a great product. It made my hair soft and manageable. The smell takes a little time to get used to, but I eventually did. I can deal with the smell as long as my hair looks fab, which it does!!

I haven't tried Flosty Gritter but Sunnyside is its citrus gold equivalent. Sunnyside is definitely one of my faves, and after I finish Lush-A-Day, similar to your 10Lush, I think I may buy one!

When I went to lush last week, I picked up the "pink glittery mess of fun" and honestly thought about you because of all the glitter (that later ended up on my face) lol. I didn't buy it though because I was afraid that I'd end up with glitter all over. Maybe I will try it though :)

I've used the Marilyn mask, too. It's awesome! I really did notice a difference in my hair (it brought out the natural high and lowlights in my hair).

Hey Elle,

The Jasmine and Henna mask does leave your hair unbelievably soft but also unbelievably scented.
It is a good scent but I remember that after 5 days it was driving me insane. I guess I have weird hair because any smell lingers for ages but I washed it like 2 times a day and the smell just wouldn't leave.
So I would only use it if you're absolutely in love with the scent. :)
Good luck with your pan-projects!

Marilyn hair mask and Jasmine & Henna are nice, but in all honesty, because Lush products are very natural ingredients etc, they are never going to work as well as more chemical type stuff like redken and tigi. I used Lush hair products for a while, and my hair felt very 'natural' but didn't have the silky feeling and gloss you get from using less natural products. I know some people say its better to use natural stuff, but I prefer the chemicals, they work better lol!
Also Elle, did you get any of the Mac Liberty Collection and what did you think of it??

Thank you for this review!! I was debating the same issues about the mess that the glitter leaves. But now, I am sure this will be a sweet addition to the easter baskets that I'm creating:)
Just did a Lush haul myself because of your review on porridge, buffy, and candy bar. love it all thank you. Don't worry, my post will be on products you did not mention:) Much respect and love,

I have been saving up for months for an all out shopping spree and on Saturday I finally counted everything up and hit the mall with my mom. All day I kept saying- DONT FORGET WE HAVE TO GO TO THE LUSH STORE!! When I walked in they greeted me and asked if I had ever been and I told them no I hadn't but my mom used to be pretty regular. And they asked what brought me in and when I told them all your videos has convinced me they said, "Oh we get that all the time! All that Glitters is like the best referral we have". I sniffed and sampled and finally settled on one of the holiday bath bombs, the little chic, also to share with my mom the cherry blossom one and the one that smells like lemon grass verbena. I'll be having my first lush bath this week and I can't wait!!! <3

I have had the Marilyn hair treatment and it smelled really nice and definitely made my hair soft for the day but other than that, I didn't think it did much. I didn't notice my blonde any brighter or it staying soft for like weeks. I wouldn't repurchase it. :( Sorry that it't not a good review, maybe you will be a fan though! (The smell IS amazing too!)

I tried the Marilyn Hair Mask and I absolutely love it. If my hair is feeling totally try, I leave it on for a lot longer than the bottle says just to give my hair that extra boost. It makes your hair feel so nice !
